Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) features Dow India in the list of Top 25 Innovative Companies in India

New Delhi, - February 14, 2019 - Dow India was recently listed in CII’s coveted list of ‘Most Innovative Companies’ for 2018. This award recognizes companies across sectors for their innovation capabilities that contribute to the country’s progress by addressing socio-economic challenges.

Dow India inaugurated the Dow India Technology Centre (DITC) in 2018 - a hotspot for cross-business initiatives and future-ready technologies. The DITC enables its customers and value chain to develop sustainable solutions, including the three innovations shortlisted by CII:

  • DOWSIL™ EasyRinse GP-4633 Granule – a silicone-based foam control agent that reduces water usage by 25-50% while washing clothes, while ensuring the same quality of wash performance.
  • ALL PE Laminate and RETAIN – These are India’s first recyclable barrier films to store and carry edible oil and salt, with the potential to recycle ~100,000MT of laminates/films from the Indian market alone.
  • FORMASHIELD – This is a functionality in the backbone of polymer that can abate harmful pollutant formaldehyde (present in paints), resulting in improved indoor air quality.

Commenting on this recognition, Mr. Padmadas Nair, Director - R&D, Dow India said, “Being recognized by CII as one of India’s Top 25 Innovative Companies is a testament to our efforts to weave sustainable innovation in products, processes and people. I am extremely proud of the passion displayed by the technical and commercial teams, and their combined efforts to meet customer needs and create differentiating our solutions seamlessly.”
